Woodsman Hunter 5

     This custom drop point hunting knife was forged out of a Weatherby 6.5-300 magnum chrome moly steel rifle barrel. A piece of stainless steel tubing was placed inside the barrel and inside that a rod of O1 high carbon steel before forging. This created a very unique and beautiful Go-Mai Damascus pattern. The 3 and 3/4 inch long cutting edge is 61 HRC after heat treatment.  The spine of the blade is 3/16 inch thick and tapers down to .032 inches giving the blade better handleability. The handle is comprised of stabilized spalted maple scales fastened with three custom mosaic pins. Included is a custom leather sheath and a signed certificate of authenticity describing the process and materials used.
