Traditional Big Game Hunter

This blade was forged out of a Weatherby .416 magnum barrel. A 52100 high carbon steel core was inserted in the barrel before forging creating a layered steel San Mai Damascus. The blade was sand blasted, parkerized, and oiled for a durable finish. You can still see the subtle lines of the layered steel in the blade. The handle is comprised of stacked leather for a traditional look as well as a great feel in the hand. The guard, spacers, and pommel are stainless steel. The blade length is 4 3/4 inch long and 5/32 thick. The pommel features a Weatherby .416 magnum case head to illustrate the blade’s unique origin. It was heat treated to 60 HRC. It comes with a custom leather sheath and a letter of authenticity describing the process and materials used.
