Deluxe Drop Point Hunter

This blade was forged out of a Weatherby .257 magnum deluxe chrome moly rifle barrel. An O1 high carbon steel core was inserted in the barrel chamber and when forged it created a San Mai Damascus with the O1 forming the cutting edge and the rifle barrel forming the rest of the blade up to the spine. It has been heat treated to 61HRC. The 5 inch blade features a mirror finish. The handle was completely sourced from a Weatherby deluxe rifle stock blank comprised of claro walnut, a maplewood spacer, and rosewood for-end. The fittings are stainless steel and a Weatherby .257 magnum case head adorns the pommel illustrating the blade’s unique origin. Included with the blade is a custom leather sheath and certificate of authenticity.
