Big Game Bowie

     This custom classic Bowie knife was forged out of a Weatherby .416 magnum rifle barrel. A piece of  stainless tubing with a 52100 high carbon steel rod was placed inside the barrel before forging. This created a very unique and beautiful Go-Mai Damascus pattern, with the cutting edge of the blade at 60 HRC after heat treatment.  The blade is 6 inches long while the blade’s overall length is 10 and a half inches. The handle is comprised of stabilized Australian Brown Mallee burl with black and nickel silver spacers. The nickel silver pommel displays a Weatherby .416 magnum case head illustrating the blade’s unique origin. Finally it includes a custom made leather and rattlesnake skin sheath as well as a certificate of authenticity.
